Once upon a time, there was a lion who lived in a jungle. The lion is the king of the jungle. One day he was asleep, his noble head resting on his paws, but a timid little mouse began running up and down on him. This soon awakened the lion. The lion got angry and placed his huge paw on the mouse, and opened his enormous jaws to swallow him.
“Pardon, O King!” begged the poor little mouse. “Forgive me this time. I will never repeat it and I will never forget your kindness. And someday I will repay you, I may do you good one of these days! Please let me go”.
The lion was so amused and laughed by thinking a Mouse could ever help him. But he lifted his paw and let him go.
Sometime later, a few hunters in a jungle captured the lion using their net and tied him to a tree. After that hunters went in search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo.
Lion tried to free himself, but not able to escape. He filled the place with his angry roaring. The Mouse heard the voice of Lion and found him struggling in the net. On seeing the lion’s plight, the mouse ran up to him and nibbled away the ropes that wrapped him. Soon the mouse free the Lion, the king of the jungle.
“You laughed at me when I said I would repay you. Was I not right? ,” said the Mouse. But I’m thrilled to help the lion.
